TICE 2012

TICE 2012 in Lyon, December, 11 - 13th, 2012

Under the patronage of the UNIT (Online University of Engineering and Technology), the eighth edition of TICE is being jointly organized by the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (UCBL) and the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines of Saint-Etienne.

To be held in Lyon from the 11th to 13th of December 2012, under the theme New Pedagogies and New Technologies, the conference will promote exchanges between the scientific and industrial communities.

The current pace of evolution of knowledge, techniques, practices and relationships presents a significant challenge to members of the knowledge society such as research institutions, higher education and business. The impact of the Web on the way we learn, communicate, work, play and ultimately live has been revolutionary. This presents an intellectual challenge (understanding and predicting) and a technological challenge (inventing and developing) in order to reap cultural, social and economic benefits (measuring the effects of uses).

TICE 2012 is an opportunity for scientists, from Computer Science to Educational Psychology, for teachers of all disciplines, for companies offering innovative solutions for teaching, and for human resources professionals to present their projects and forge partnerships in the following areas:

• Virtual environments (serious games, 3D virtual worlds);
• Social networks and collaborative learning;
• Self-training, informal learning (Lifelong learning) and mobility.
